Kishu Binchotan Charcoal

Kishu Binchotan Charcoal

Danish brand, Sort of Coal, create a range of purifying products for air, water and body sourcing the finest charred oak from Japan. Binchotan is a type of activated charcoal that has been produced in the Wakayama prefecture for centuries. Local artisans responsibly harvest ubame oak and kiln bake it to traditional methods that ensure a binchotan product that has the highest purifying carbon content. The sustainable process has been passed from generations and respects, preserves and encourages the natural eco-system.

Kishu Binchotan Charcoal

A stick of powerful White Charcoal made from hard Japanese Holm oak. You can use it to turn ordinary tap water into your daily supply of filtered, fresh and tasty mineral water. By adding a piece in your bottle, you create a natural purifying and mineralising process similar to that of spring water travelling through layers of rock and soil. Moving through the trillions of cavities in the charcoal, your ordinary tap water is naturally softened, ionized and freed of up to 75% of added chlorine, while being enriched with minerals such as potassium and magnesium.
