Ash Pillar Candle Stand

‘Selwyn’ is an old Anglo-Saxon word roughly translated as ‘friend in the house’.

Selwyn House is formed by Sean Best and Ellie Smalls, who met studying Fine Art. An obsession for understanding and working with wood followed, combining their creative talents to create small-batch handmade serveware & homeware from British-grown timbers. 

Selwyn House is the place Sean and Ellie now call home and where their workshop is based. The choice of name came from a wish to make warm, honest and functional pieces with longevity which can be used and enjoyed from everyday meals through to family get-togethers.

The Ash Pillar Candle Stand is turned from a single solid piece of Ash, known for it’s prominent grain. The tapered base means the stand is weighty and stable. The gently curved lip holds your pillar candle securely. Simple and modern yet in a beautiful natural material.
