Glasgow based artist, Viv Lee, draws from her Eastern heritage particularly the practice of Zen Buddhism in her exploration of clay and form. Her relationship with self and nature is prevalent throughout her work as she utilises the traditional, hand-building techniques which allow an intuitive, organic beauty to each vessel. The intentional use of a neutral palette emphasises Viv’s philosophy and the primal connection to earth.
The hand-made HOLOS 06 vessel is an organic sculptural object and features a small hole allowing the piece to also be used as a stem vase.
