Stone Incense Holder

Andrea Roman, founder of AR Ceramics, began making wheel-thrown tableware after relocating to London from her birthplace of Mexico City. Her work is characterised by the use of textured clay and the absence of glaze in large portions of the surfaces. Andrea is drawn to straight lines and simple forms to accentuate the quality of the clay body itself.

A versatile incense holder, made in an unglazed stone toned clay. The raised mount stands the classic stick forms of incense, whilst the flat base catches the falling ash. The base can also be used as a dish for brick or cone incense.
